You're My Energy

There's a feeling that hits you out of nowhere, when someone's smile becomes the whole reason your day feels lighter. That's exactly where this song came from. It started with one line stuck in my head, "you're my energy, my sweet energy," and turned into a full love letter about how one person can completely change the way you see everything around you. I wanted to capture that rush of falling for someone: forgetting your words when they look at you, and the way even the darkest days somehow don't feel the same anymore because of them. Musically I leaned all the way into that warm, glowing 80s synth pop sound, big Euro disco energy, because this kind of devotion deserves a sound that's just as unapologetically romantic. Every synth line and beat was built to feel like butterflies. If you've ever had someone become your energy, the person who makes ordinary moments feel worth remembering, I'd love to know: which line in this song hits closest to home for you?
