Zangla to Leh | The Mountains Had Other Plans! 🏍️

🏔️ *ZANGLA TO LEH | AN UNFORGETTABLE ZANSKAR RIDE* 🏍️ What started as a straightforward ride from *Zangla to Leh* turned into one of the most unpredictable days of our Zanskar journey. We were stopped at Zangla because of road construction and bombardment work. After waiting at a homestay and enjoying some breakfast, we suddenly got the news that the gates had opened — and we rushed to cross before they closed again. The BPD route was not accessible, so we had to take the route via **Lingshed, Singe La, Bhumiktse La, Photoskar and Sirsir La**. ❄️ Heavy snowfall greeted us at the high passes, with the entire landscape turning white. We also rode alongside the spectacular **Zanskar River gorge**, surrounded by incredible mountain formations. The adventure didn't stop there. My bike got stuck in loose construction material, and three of my friends helped me get it out. Later, a strange noise started coming from the rear wheel. I initially thought it was the rear brake pads, but even after replacing them, the noise continued. I started riding at around *20 km/h**, but as the sound gradually faded, I slowly increased my speed and eventually managed to ride around **70 km/h* towards Leh. On the way, we also passed the beautifully illuminated *Nathar Sahib Gurdwara* before finally reaching Leh late at night. But the story wasn't over yet… the next morning, the first stop was going to be the *service centre* to find out what had actually happened to the rear wheel. 📍 *ROUTE:* Zangla → Lingshed → Singe La → Bhumiktse La → Photoskar → Sirsir La → Wanla → Khaltsi → Leh 🏔️ *HIGH PASSES:* • Singe La — 16,590 ft • Bhumiktse La — 14,501 ft • Sirsir La — 15,700 ft 🎥 *Ride.
