Humans Accidentally Made Cities Into Raccoon Playgrounds

Cities were built to keep the wild out. So how did raccoons end up treating them like giant playgrounds? This video explores the accidental story of how our bins, attics, fences and storm drains became a perfect habitat for one of North America’s most adaptable animals. With sensitive, nimble paws and surprisingly neuron-packed brains, raccoons learned to open what we closed, live where we don’t look, and follow the predictable routines we never realised we had. From Toronto’s famous war over raccoon-resistant green bins to new research hinting that city life may be quietly changing raccoons themselves, this is the incredible story of how humans accidentally made cities into raccoon playgrounds. #Raccoons #UrbanWildlife #AnimalFacts #RaccoonIntelligence #WildlifeDocumentary #NatureExplained
