This video explains the 2 remaining Record/Dub functions not covered in pt. 1 - Rec/Dub MIDI Sync Now and Rec/Dub MIDI Measure Sync, each of which require MIDI clock to be present. Rec/Dub MIDI Sync Now works in conjunction with the MIDI Beats Per Measure setting in the main tab. Let’s say that is set to 6. Rec/Dub MIDI Sync Now starts recording immediately when MIDI clock is present, on the 1st button press. If the 2nd button press occurs before the 6th beat, it will stop the recording when the when beat 6 is reached, and that will be the length of the recording. If the 2nd button press occurs between beats 6 and 12, the length of the recording will be 12 beats and so forth. Rec/Dub MIDI Measure Sync requires incoming MIDI clock to be present. Provided the LoopPad has received a MIDI start command, such as when play is pressed on a drum machine, it will recognize the downbeat of each measure. The LED in column C button #3 will flash green on each beat, yellow on the last beat of each measure, and red on the downbeat. I you apply MIDI Measure Sync mid-measure, the LoopPad will wait until the next downbeat to begin recording, and the next time you apply it, it will wait until the next downbeat to stop recording. Note that if the LED is flashing only green, the LoopPad has not seen the MIDI Start command. In this case, the device from which you are sending MIDI clock will have to be stopped and restarted. All new MIDI Measure Sync Record tracks will be integer multiples of 1 measure in length.
