LOOK WHAT HE'S DONE

I almost forgot to say thank You. Not for the big things — I remember those. For the roof. The rent. The breath in my chest. The morning I woke up without thinking about it. The bill that somehow got paid. The call that came right on time. The friend who showed up at the door with a word I didn’t know was mine. This song is about the answered prayers I walked right past because I was already asking for the next thing. Psalm 103 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Forget not. That’s the whole instruction. Not earn more. Not ask better. Just don’t forget. So this is me stopping to count it out loud. And that door I cried about closing? I’d beg Him not to open it now.
