Swaradaa Communications & Events , proudly presents its 5Th ‘Sahir, Majrooh aur Burman.' at Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagruha Vile Parle, Mumbai on Sunday 6th September 2026 at 8.30 pm onwards. Sahir Ludhianvi and Majrooh Sultanpuri, true wizards of words whose songs have ruled billions of Hearts in this century and will continue to rule. Jane woh kaise log the by Sahirji and Hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukare by Majrooh Ji caters to different philosophies of life but the lyrics are soul touching. Both of them had Greatest association with S.D. Burman and R.D. Burman respectively. Sahirji’s association with S.D. Burman began with evergreen song Thandi Havayen lehra ke aaye which captured the freshness of young love in movie Naujawan.The duo created everlasting melodies in 18 movies till Pyaasa their last film in 1957. R D Burman's first hit film as a music director was Teesri Manzil. Burman gave credit to lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri for recommending him to Nasir Hussain, the producer and writer of the film. Nasir Hussain went on to sign R D Burman and lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri for six of his films including Baharon Ke Sapne, Pyar Ka Mausam and Yaadon Ki Baaraat . Majrooh ji penned lyrics for Many R D burman movies, all immensely successful. Let's recreate Magic of these four Masteros, SD burman, Sahir, RD burman and Majrooh in a Musical concert. This show will be performed with a 14 piece orchestra with a well known arranger Prashant Lalit and Omkar Devaskar . We are glad to inform you that the singers who will grace this show with their wonderful voices are Playback Singers Apurva Pendharkar, Gul Saxena, Sudhakar Shanbhag and Shrikant Narayan.
