Astro Bloc - Resurrect - Roadie TV

Astro Bloc making their Irish touring debut. The group kindly took time to record a session with us in Derry. Here, they perform Resurrect Astro Bloc is a bold, high-energy contemporary folk and traditional music quartet based in Glasgow, Scotland. Formed from a "scratch band" that clicked instantly during a late-night session at the Celtic Connections festival, they have rapidly built a reputation for breathing fresh life into the folk scene by blending deep-rooted Scottish and Irish traditions with adventurous, boundary-pushing arrangements. Their sound—often described as an exhilarating mix of rich acoustic textures, soaring fiddle melodies, and modern rhythmic drive—was captured perfectly during their recent October 2026 headline tour of Ireland. While travelling between packed venues in Galway, Derry, and Dublin, the band teamed up with Roadie TV to record a lively, intimate session in Derry.
