WE STAYED IN A PRESIDENTIAL SUITE! 😱 Was It Worth It? Mike surprised Donna for our 23rd anniversary with an overnight stay in the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE at our favourite Newcastle hotel… but was this luxury stay really worth the money? 😱 We’re celebrating 23 years since we got together, and Mike has pulled off a HUGE surprise — a night in the incredible Presidential Suite at The Vermont Hotel in Newcastle! ❤️ Donna had absolutely no idea what he had planned, and when we opened the door to the suite, we couldn’t believe the size of it! Two bathrooms, a huge lounge, dining area, separate bedroom, possibly the BIGGEST bed we’ve ever seen and some absolutely spectacular views across Newcastle. 😍 But our luxury stay didn’t get off to the perfect start… We discovered rubbish and wrappers left on the floor in the lounge, meaning the suite hadn’t been cleaned properly. We complained to the hotel and were given complimentary drinks while everything was sorted — but should this happen in a Presidential Suite? That evening, we finally visit Blackfriars Restaurant, somewhere we’ve wanted to try for YEARS. A bottle of wine, three courses and a lovely anniversary meal later… did it live up to expectations? The next morning, we head down for breakfast at The Vermont, expecting the table service and made-to-order breakfast we’ve always loved. Unfortunately, things have changed! Breakfast is now completely buffet-style — even the tea, coffee and toast — and Donna's favourite Eggs Benedict has disappeared from the experience. 😢 And finally… Mike reveals exactly HOW MUCH he paid for the Presidential Suite! 💰😱 Was it worth the money?
