Why Marika Really Shattered the Elden Ring

Why did Marika break the Elden Ring? The game never says it outright, so this video tells the whole story in the order it actually happened, using only what the game itself gives us: item descriptions, dialogue and the places the story left behind. We start with the star that brought the Elden Beast, follow Marika as she builds the Golden Order and locks Death away, and end with the son who died and kept walking, the night the Rune of Death was stolen, and the six endings that answer the question she left behind.
