At three minutes in length, this is one of the shortest videos I've put together in recent times. The idea behind that choice is that I was trying to see if I could present the same information and deliver a narrative in a short space of time rather than dragging things out unnecessarily. It also helps that there's not much to say about this bridge, although it's a lot of fun to walk over. The bridge is named after Kitty Swanson who used to operate a ferry across the Ericht in the 19th century and like most of the bridges over the Spey, this footbridge has no direct contact with the River Ericht. There's even a secondary span which passes over part of the floodplain. I don't know for sure but it also looks as if this bridge could be replaced in the next few years as there's construction work taking place at the eastern side of the structure with what looks suspiciously like concrete pillars being built. These new pillar bases are right next to the old ones. As such, if you want to see this bridge, I'd take a look at it sooner rather than later.
