❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM GOD The Responsibility of Protecting, Nurturing, and Raising the Gift God Has Entrusted to Us Children are a precious gift from God. They are not accidents, burdens, mistakes, or inconveniences. They are entrusted to us by God for a purpose. When we understand this revelation, our attitude toward parenting, responsibility, and the raising of children must change. The Bible says in Psalm 127:3 (KJV): “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” This Scripture clearly shows us that children are an inheritance from the Lord and a reward from Him. Therefore, when God gives us a child, He is entrusting something precious into our hands. Think about what happens when someone gives you a gift. Usually, you do not throw the gift away before opening it. You receive it, you open it, you look at it, and you begin to discover its value. Even when the gift is not expensive in human eyes, you may still keep it because of the person who gave it to you. The gift becomes a remembrance of their love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and relationship with you. How much more, then, should we value the gifts that come from God? Children are gifts from God, and every child carries a unique purpose, personality, ability, and potential. We may not immediately understand the greatness that is inside a child because a child is still developing. But the fact that we cannot yet see their future does not mean there is no greatness within them. A seed does not look like a tree, but the tree is already contained in the seed. In the same way, a child may look small, weak, inexperienced, and dependent today, but there may be greatness, wisdom, leadership, creativity, compassion, ministry, business ability, or an extraordinary purpose hidden within that child. This is why we must not despise children or neglect them. Jesus Himself demonstrated the value He placed on children. Mark 10:14 (KJV) says: “But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” Jesus did not treat children as unimportant. He welcomed them, valued them, and instructed others not to prevent them from coming to Him. THE GIFT COMES WITH A RESPONSIBILITY Every gift comes with an element of responsibility. When someone entrusts something valuable to you, you are expected to take care of it. If someone gives you a precious item and asks you to protect it, you do not deliberately destroy it. You understand that the person trusted you with something important. In the same way, when God gives us children, He gives us the responsibility to care for them, protect them, provide for them, teach them, discipline them, pray for them, and guide them. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:4 (KJV): “And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” God does not simply tell parents to have children. He gives them the responsibility of bringing those children up properly. Unfortunately, we are living in a generation where some parents have abandoned this responsibility. Some fathers leave the entire burden of raising children upon the mother, even when they are alive, able to work, and able to contribute. Some mothers also neglect their responsibilities and leave their children to relatives, friends, or other people. There are children who are growing up asking questions such as, “Where is my father?” “Why doesn't my mother care about me?” “Why was I left behind?” This is a serious matter. When we deliberately neglect the children God has entrusted to us, we are not simply failing the child; we are also failing in the stewardship God has given us. A parent should not proudly say, “Someone else will take care of my child,” when they themselves are capable of fulfilling their responsibility. Other people may help us raise our children, and there is nothing wrong with receiving support. Families, relatives, communities, churches, and friends can all play an important role. But support should not become an excuse for parents to abandon their God-given responsibility. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE THE Gift. Because when God gives a gift, He expects us to value it, protect it, and use it for His glory. CHILDREN ARE A GIFT FROM GOD. LET US TREASURE THE GIFT, CARE FOR THE GIFT, AND RAISE THE GIFT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
