The Sill & Sycamore Gap 9-14-2026

Part of Day 2 of the Hadrian's Wall Hike was spent hiking The Sill & Sycamore Gap. Steep climbs and descents with magnificent views were enjoyed by our group. Sycamore Gap once held a beautiful sycamore tree right in its center. In 2023 it was illegally cut down. This tree was featured in one scene of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Part of the trunk is shown in this video which is housed in The Sill Information Center at Northumberland National Park in the northeast of England.
