【ROAM 06】100 Street Photographs from August 2026

I created a new photobook, ROAM 06. ----- September was a month of rain in Tokyo—and a month spent exploring black-and-white photography. While my everyday camera was away for sensor cleaning, I began using a dedicated monochrome camera. At first, I wondered whether it would be any different from setting a regular camera to black and white. But taking it out into the streets changed the way I saw things. With only a monochrome camera in hand, color was no longer an option. That choice drew my attention to details I would usually walk past—cracks in street signs, patterns of moss across the ground, and the shapes and textures of everyday scenes. Little by little, I found more things I wanted to photograph. I still haven’t decided whether I will continue using a dedicated monochrome camera. Yet there may be something meaningful in heading out with only that camera and seeing where it takes me. As summer gives way to autumn, I look forward to seeing how people in coats will change the scenes I often photograph—a lone figure within a wide expanse of the city. ROAM has now reached its sixth edition. ROAM 06 brings together 100 photographs taken throughout September 2026. A month of rain, monochrome, and small discoveries. I hope you enjoy the world I see and express through these photographs. ■ Instagram   / sesese__no__se   ■ note https://note.com/alert_bear3732 #StreetPhotography #Photography #Photobook #ROAM #ROAM06 #BlackAndWhitePhotography #UrbanPhotography #FineArtPhotography
