Wheel bearing replacement on the Audi A4 (B8) - wheel bearing generation 2D

Wheel bearing damage can occur in different ways. You can often hear the typical rolling or humming noises that are often audible when cornering. There are many different causes. Defective seals, for example, allow spray water to penetrate the inside of the wheel bearing. As a result, the grease is flushed out, causing high friction between the balls or rollers and the bearing rings. The surfaces are thus damaged and the above-mentioned noises occur. At this point, it is time to replace the wheel bearings. However, as there are different designs and therefore different repair methods, you should pay attention to a few things. Otherwise, you could damage the new wheel bearing during installation. This video shows an example of a wheel bearing repair on a driven front axle on an Audi A4 B8 (8K).
