How does one slider join two long rows of zipper teeth? Open up a simplified discrete-element zipper and follow the Y-shaped channel as it guides elements together, then apart. See the tapes, fastening elements, slider and pull tab, plus a possible reason for separation behind a moving slider. The optional slider lock has a different job from the interlocking elements themselves. Chapters: 00:00 One Slider.
