As evening falls, we stroll through the Southern Cross Shopping Street and visit Sunayama Shrine before heading to a get-together with some of my former coworkers. Our first stop is Irikama. We raise our glasses over beer and enjoy a selection of dishes prepared by the restaurant, including char siu pork, sashimi, and small side dishes. After a wonderful evening together, we walk through Sunayama-cho at night and head to Nagomi Ramen. We finish the night with fragrant pan-fried gyoza and a comforting bowl of ramen. Drink, eat, and finish with one last bowl. Walking with old friends can make even familiar streets look a little different.
