Louisiana Country Music LIVE feat. Connor Martin

Baton Rouge area artist Connor Martin has been putting in the work and turning heads doing it. He's opened for Easton Corbin, Tyler Farr, Parker McCollum, and Keith Urban, shared stages with Kameron Marlowe, Gavin Adcock, Tucker Wetmore, and Zach Top, and is working on an album full of songs written from the heart. In this LIVE conversation with host Ronnie Calhoun, Connor talks about his grandfather's time playing in a local band, picking up the guitar at eight, and how a family Thanksgiving pushed him to finally take his music public. He shares what it was like playing his very first show opening for Parish County Line at the Texas Club, why he's chasing a red dirt sound, and what he's learned opening for some of country's biggest names. He also opens up about "Missing You Like Crazy," the song he wrote in memory of his little brother, why he chose to make a full album, and his plans for the Texas Club Takeover 2.0. 🐊 Check out Louisiana Country Website: https://www.louisianacountrymusic.com/ Instagram:   / louisianacountrymusic   Facebook:   / lacountrymusic   TikTok:   / louisianacountrymusic   👇 Follow Connor Martin Website: https://www.theconnormartinmusic.com/ Instagram:   / connormartinmusic   📧 Subscribe to our newsletter: https://www.louisianacountrymusic.com... 0:00 - Intro 1:00 - Welcome Connor Martin 3:07 - Hunting, Fishing & Free Time 4:07 - Music in the Family 5:13 - Picking Up Guitar at Eight 6:13 - Early Influences 7:18 - His First Show at the Texas Club 8:24 - Taking the Leap 10:24 - Travis Tritt & His Influences 11:27 - Chasing a Red Dirt Sound 12:33 - A Hometown Turning Point 14:42 - Working the Crowd 15:43 - Growing as a Songwriter 18:54 - Following His Grandpa's Footsteps 21:07 - Using Music to Help Others 22:07 - Opening for Big Names 25:16 - The Daily Grind 27:23 - Recording His First Album 29:35 - Why an Album Instead of Singles 31:39 - "Missing You Like Crazy" 35:53 - Plans for the Album 37:59 - Baton Rouge's Young Artists 41:02 - Giving the Crowd His All 44:09 - Big Crowds vs. Small Rooms 46:18 - Texas Club Takeover 2.0 #connormartin #louisianacountrymusic #batonrouge
