15 Days in Canada & USA 🇨🇦🇺🇸 Part 9 | Chicago Solo Day: Apple Watch Ultra 4, AMC & Harry Potter

Day 9 of my 15-day Canada & USA adventure, and today is my first full day exploring Chicago on my own! 🇺🇸🏙️ After an incredible week travelling around Canada with Nick, I've finally arrived in Chicago for the 2026 Chicago Marathon. But before the big race, there's plenty of time to enjoy the city and do some of my favourite things! The morning started with breakfast at my Residence Inn hotel. The breakfast area is on the top floor, and I managed to find a table right beside the window. What a wonderful way to start the day, looking out over Chicago's impressive skyscrapers while enjoying breakfast! ☕️🏙️ Then it was time to head out for my first proper city walk. I absolutely loved the streets and architecture of Chicago. The buildings are incredible, and I couldn't resist filming some of the beautiful city views along the way. My first destination was the Apple Store, where I picked up my brand-new Apple Watch Ultra 4! ⌚️ I took some footage inside the beautiful store and did a quick unboxing of my new watch. Always exciting to get a new Apple gadget! Next, I headed to an AMC cinema to buy a movie ticket. Since there was still some time before the screening, I popped into Target for a little shopping. Then it was movie time! 🎬🍿 I watched Heart of the Beast and really enjoyed the experience, especially AMC's signature reclining seats. Being able to stretch out and relax while watching a movie is definitely one of my favourite things about American cinemas! After the movie, I continued wandering around the neighbourhood. My next stop was Harry Potter Shop Chicago, conveniently located very close to my hotel. As a Harry Potter fan, I couldn't resist going inside to explore the displays and merchandise. ⚡️🪄 And of course, I had to visit the LEGO Store too! I'm a huge LEGO fan, so browsing all the sets and displays was another highlight of my afternoon. 🧱 After a full day of walking, shopping and watching movies, I picked up some Panda Express to enjoy back in my hotel room. 🥡🥢 And the vlog ends with a little surprise from my fortune cookie. It said: "You thrive by serving others." Hmm... I wonder if that's really me? Hahaha! 😆🥠 Nothing particularly adventurous today — just a very enjoyable first full day in Chicago, discovering the city, buying a new Apple Watch, watching a good movie, visiting some favourite shops and enjoying a simple dinner. Sometimes a day spent doing all the little things you love is just as memorable as visiting spectacular mountains and lakes.
