Is the Philippines Making Me Fat?

How much has my health changed after a year living in the Philippines? Today I’m checking my weight and blood pressure, comparing the results with my old records from Miami, and beginning a fitness journey in my new home. Zolla and I take a jeepney to SM City Iloilo to find the tools we need, compare a few options, and discover how much a new Garmin costs. Our dog, Rocky, tries to come along for the ride. Then we head home to find out how much has actually changed. I'm happy with the life I'm building here. Somewhere along the way, though, a break from my old routine became my new one. This is the start of figuring out how to take better care of myself in it—with food, exercise, and habits I can actually live with.
