Undermining the Forest - Official Teaser

Undermining the Forest is the story of Alcoa's bauxite mining in one of the world's top biodiversity hot spots, the ancient jarrah forests of Western Australia. These forests support a plethora of endemic species but are under threat. American bauxite miner Alcoa has spent more than 60 years mining in these forests and has left a massive footprint. Not one single hectare of forest has been successfully rehabilitated to the satisfaction of the Western Australian Government. Now the water supply for more than 2 million people is under threat from the mining and still the company wants to take more of the forest. Undermining the Forest is due for release later this year (2026). It is funded through public donations, sponsorship and impact partners.
