Here's a look at a pretty simple robot designed to play the FTC game BIOBUZZ. It utilizes 4 motors and 2 servos to fit completely on 1 Control Hub. The main structure was 3D printed in pieces and screwed together. Drivetrain - Robits Starter Chassis (2+2 Skid Steer) driven by NeveRest 19.2 motors with a 50:30 overdrive and 3" wheels. Intake/Conveyor - 2.25" compliant wheels driven and a 14 tooth pulley conveyor driven by a NeveRest 13.7 motor. Floor - Cam actuated servo driven floor to remove compression during intaking and add compression during feeding. Kicker - 3" compliant stars driven by a continuous rotation servo. Launcher - 3" stealth wheels driven by a NeveRest 1:1 motor. The under hand toss creates topspin which seems to help keep the pollen in the goal. Potential areas of improvement Drive would be better on mecanum but it doesn't seem too bad as is. Playing with drive speed to make it faster likely would help with cycles. The intake is a little narrow but the cutouts still allow pollen in from off center. Speeding up the rollers would help. The conveyor pulley size is a bit small leading to a slow linear ball speed through the system. The flywheel could use some tuning. Occasionally, the 4th pollen is a little off the mark and adding a 2nd motor or spending more time on the control loop would help. This robot has no flower mechanism and it feels like a hunt to get additional pollen. A flower pollen mechanism would unlock a lot more game pieces to shoot.
