Still decided to keep in with using the opponent's ride or at least challenge myself. Looking back at the last time I played this game, the Classes just feel off, especially with the choices they have, such as the Corvette, Saleen Mustang, the Viper, & Elise being Tuners. Zone being the most necessary ability so badly that Franklin from GTA5 borrowed it. The only thing I thought how classes work, in this context, is based on how it gains speed & retaining it, how it handles and how able are you to recover. There's a lot to take from this game, and just focusing on what you have for cars and what vinyl designs you have in mind. This game did so much and allowed you to go in depth with cars that would get a second glance almost immediately after the first.
Spider outright was tough, especially if using the Skully. I like it, to be fair. And no doubt, I was choking in big moments as simple as not crashing. But this game, in the end, whether you wanted a challenge or not, really makes sure that you didn't win via some freebie, although in Vanessa's case, her second race ended funny. Spending a maximum of 4 minutes per attempt with several attempts wasn't in my bingo card. But that's what games did back in the day and you never complained, just get the job done.
So, the Skully vs Skully matchup was done. But I decided to make this final showdown with Vanessa mean something, since I personally leave her for last as she is driving the car the we win upon beating all 7 U.S. Champ racers. So I decided to utilize in a battle of Dream Cars. My personal all-time dream car, the R34 Skyline GT-R that I won from the Unbeatable Street Racers, going against their representative, our first rival, the only rival from San Diego that makes it to the finale, in the car that the player character gets at the end. Really serving as the dream car for the player in-universe.
That completed attempt on Vanessa's race was definitely not unpredictable, but definitely had some divine intervention. The GT-R did really well, and it was good fun, using the JDM classic against one of the most notable supercars of the time. This is it.
Anyways, thanks for your support. See you in Tokyo.
