Search "how to use a tourniquet" and you'll find clips with enormous view counts. Some are excellent. In the ones I've watched, the same five mistakes keep coming up, and two of them can make the bleeding worse. A physician grades all five against the military guideline (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) and civilian guidance from the American College of Surgeons, the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross, then shows the one fix that covers every one of them. No one's clip is shown: each mistake is recreated with medical illustrations and real photographs, so we grade the mistake, not the person. Includes what the public record actually shows about the improvised tourniquets used at the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, and why so many people survived. Every clinical claim is labeled: verified from a named study, reasoning from mechanism, or genuinely contested.
