Not only do we get to see where Samuel Pepys & Mary Skinner, lived = But we also a full "just before opening time" tour of Gordon's Wine Bar, established in 1890!! Which allows us to go rite underneath Samuel's home. A great old Bar, absolutely packed with atmosphere & memorabilia. After our tour + a drink to Samuel's memory, we leave Gordon's & head back out into the street = Then make our way to York Gate River Steps "now landlocked" The Thames originally came rite up to these steps & Buckingham Street. & is where Samuel would have taken a boat from "many times" either up - down - or across the River."
