Land Rover Discovery 3 ( LR 3 ) gear linkage fix!

In this micro video I show you you how I fixed the problem the Discovery 3 had. We couldn’t get it out of park or get it started as the car kept thinking it wasn’t in park.. the system wouldn’t release the lever either and on one occasion didn’t let me take the key out! The action of the gear lever was also stiff and there was no clean notch at each gear such as d or r or n. Often reverse light in the selector would illuminate but the gearbox wasn’t in reverse. Turns out all to be down to a simple little linkage and a corroded bush that was solid. This video shows how I fixed it for around £20 in parts. Amazing.
