Porsche 911 GT3 Sets New Manual Lap Record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:56.294 minutes!

The new Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) is officially the fastest production car with a manual transmission around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister beat the previous record, held by Lance Arnold in a Dodge Viper ACR (which has a significantly more powerful engine), by more than 9.5 seconds. Due to extensive further development of all performance-relevant components, the manual 911 GT3 with Weissach package was even 3.633 seconds faster than the predecessor model (992.1) with PDK transmission.
