Daniel Tolomei spent 11 years as a firefighter before realizing he could not keep sacrificing his mental health just to stay in the career.
Walking away meant leaving behind a profession he loved, friendships, security, and a future he thought was already mapped out. What came next was an unexpected journey into faith, entrepreneurship, YouTube, and motorcycle education.
In this episode of At the Redline Podcast, Daniel talks about growing up in a difficult environment, his years in the fire service, divorce and loss, therapy, journaling, and the process that eventually brought him back to Jesus.
We also get into the story behind Dan Dan the Fireman and how Daniel accidentally discovered the YouTube format that changed his business. Instead of simply showing motorcycle crashes for entertainment, he began breaking them down like a firefighter after action review and asking one question: What can we learn from this?
That idea became a channel, a business, thousands of videos, and a mission to help motorcycle riders become safer and more prepared.
Daniel also shares what he is still working to improve, why building something meaningful never really ends, and how hardship can become a teacher if we are willing to pay attention.

You can also find his motorcycle education work through Motorcycle Training Concepts.
