Rio Claro's Calypso competition just got spicy! We've got Zandolie, Michael Anthony's Mayaro kin, and the Dades Trace dynamo, McGruff! Is this the "Education" McGruff? Hometown hero Bass snagged third, McGruff a close second, but Zandolie? Two calypsos, national fame, end of story! McGruff, a Rio Claro County Council alum, started his calypso hustle in '58, turning the place into a calypso hotspot while Lord Superior ruled Port of Spain. He joined Southern Brigade in '61, then became a Spektakula star in '91, dropping political punchlines and laughs for a decade!
