Right in the heart of the Brazilian rain forest, in the Amazon basin, Grupo Simões has channelled substantial investment into expanding its filling capacities. In its Manaus plant, the company commissioned a non-returnable-PET line featuring a Contiform Bloc with the new Contiform 3 blow-moulder in 2014, which was followed in 2015 by a returnable-PET line. By offering soft drinks in ref-PET containers up to three litres in size, Grupo Simões wants to create an opportunity for the less affluent part of the populace to be able to pay for these drinks.
