In today's episode of our new swimalong series we find ourselves stuffed to the gills with gel sacs, rubies and all sorts of stuff for the prawn suit. We dive a new wreck, poke our noses into the Blood Kelp Zone and make steady progress towards our cyclops. Along the way we'll find a bunch more blueprints, a load more materials, and continue getting bitten, stung, poisoned and blown up... A LOT! So grab a wetsuit, flex your flippers and swimalong with this swimthrough and enjoy this amazing game with me. *** As well as the RPGs I'm a big fan of open world survival crafting games. I've got over 1000 hours in 7 Days To Die, 700+ hours in Planet Crafter but somehow this absolute gem passed me by. Well... no longer. SUBNAUTICA you're on notice - pucker up buttercup, I'M COMING IN! And apparently the water's lovely, apart from the exploding suicide fish, the plants that think they're an artillery battery, the crab snakes and the monsters trying to eat me. *** DISABILITY Occasionally I am asked why sometimes I don't speak terribly well. I usually explain things in an early video of a series. I do however understand not everyone watches every episode so... A few years ago I had a bad accident, I had crush injuries to my upper torso and chest, a broken jaw in 6 places, a fractured cheekbone and orbital socket and many internal injuries. I was non verbal for about a year while my jaw was reset and healing and while they started fixing all the other broken bits. While they were scanning me they found out I had cancer so everything had to be put on hold for a year until I had 5 rounds of chemo and two operations. During this time it was suggested to me that I find as many reasons to talk as possible, so I started a youtube channel which gave me the excuse to talk every day. I love games, always have done but now I use playing them as a kind of therapy to help me speak and remain somewhat verbal. Sadly, there are still some days where talking is very difficult. I try to push on regardless but I understand those days are hard to listen to. I also continue to experience some varied cognitive dysfunction associated with my head injuries which makes me sound like Ive had too much Gin and not enough Tonic. I hope this explains things, thank you for your support.
