Our Arsenal vs Manchester City trip to Cardiff went completely wrong. What should have been a three-hour drive from Milton Keynes became 4.5 hours in the car—and we were still an hour away when we made a last-minute decision to park in Newport and catch the train. This was meant to be a straightforward daddy-and-son football day out, but traffic, accessible parking worries and a forgotten SD card quickly changed the plan. With kickoff getting closer, would we actually reach Cardiff in time—and would the experience be worth everything it took to get there? Join Conor and me as we travel from Milton Keynes to Cardiff, unexpectedly change our journey in Newport, make our way to the stadium and experience Arsenal vs Manchester City together. Along the way, we explore the realities of planning an accessible football matchday with a wheelchair and Blue Badge, experience the Cardiff matchday atmosphere, find our latest piece of football merchandise and share Conor’s reactions to seeing the pitch and crowd. It wasn’t the day we planned, but sometimes the unexpected journeys create the memories that matter most. If you enjoy honest father-and-son adventures, accessible family days out, football matchday vlogs and seeing how we adapt when plans go wrong, please subscribe and join us for the next trip. Let us know in the comments: after 4.5 hours in the car with Cardiff still an hour away, would you have continued—or turned around and gone home? 📍 Milton Keynes → Newport → Cardiff ⚽ Arsenal vs Manchester City ♿ Accessible football matchday and wheelchair travel 🚗 Blue Badge parking 🚆 Newport to Cardiff by train #Arsenal #ManchesterCity #Cardiff
