US-guided infraclavicular brachial plexus block. Infraclavicular brachial plexus block is indicated for anesthesia/analgesia for surgery of the lower half of the arm, the elbow, the forearm and the hand. Infraclavicular block is well-suited for catheter technique because the musculaturemuscles of the chest wall helps stabilize the catheter and prevents its dislodgment. Also the infraclavicular region is less mobile when compared to the supraclavicular and interscalene regions, making catheter dislodgement less likely.
