Australian Trains - 707 Operations "Farewell Murrayville" Tour

In July 2017, 707 Operations operated a weekender diesel hauled special train to Murrayville, prior to the line's closure for conversion from Broad Gauge to Standard Gauge. Returning to Melbourne on 23/07/2017, I captured the special between Ballarat and Melbourne. The video begins at Ballarat station, where we see an Up V/line service arriving from Wendouree, followed by the 707 Operations special. Note the historic level crossing gates still in use, which were destroyed in 2020 by an out of control V/line train. Next up we see the special tackling the grade at the top of Warrenheip Bank. The next shot is at Lal Lal station. Following on we see the special crossing the impressive Moorobool Viaduct on the outskirts of Geelong. We then see the train approaching Little River. Finally, the train is captured at Yarraville station.
