Railfanning Newark | Amtrak, Union Pacific, Intermodal Trains, Local Switching and more!!

This video was filmed in two parts, one in Monday July 20th, 2025 and the other on Friday July 25th, 2025. In this video you will see the UP ICBOA (Council Bluffs - Oakland), The UP MOAOA (Oakland - Warm Springs *turn), Amtrak Coast Starlight #11 and the UP LOA55 (Mulford Local). The UP ICBOA was very long to say the least. The UP ICBOA is an Intermodal train from Council Bluffs to Oakland and it replaces the well known UP ZG2OAB that used to run with priority thru the UP system. The UP MOAOA goes from Oakland Yard to Warm Springs yard and it leaves cars for local trains out of Watsonville Junction, South San Francisco and Warm Springs itself to take to industries. We caught it headed back home as it is a turn manifest at Newark LHF without a good shot but it was the thought that counted.
