In this video, we get hands-on with a 2013 Porsche Panamera V6 that arrived at our garage showing signs of a coolant leak. But what we uncovered was far worse than expected. After a full inspection and teardown, it became clear that the issue was deep within the engine’s V, an area notorious for hiding major faults. We ended up replacing the thermostat, oil filter assembly, water pump, cooler and its gasket, as well as throttle body gaskets and a long list of others. Many of the original gaskets had completely deteriorated into a soft, vinyl-like material, no longer capable of sealing anything under pressure. This is a common fault in 3L Diesel Engines, especially because the components sit right on top of the engine where heat build-up is extreme. And with so many parts made from plastic, things start to fail quicker than most expect.
