Beneath the violence, the darkness, and the revenge, I’ve always seen the story as something deeper — a man brought back because love still had unfinished business. This song follows that journey: love, loss, grief, resurrection, vengeance, and finally release. Eric isn’t fighting simply because he wants revenge. Every name crossed off the list brings him one step closer to finishing what death interrupted and finding his way back to Shelly. The rain, the crow, the rooftops, the memories — they all represent a world he no longer truly belongs to, but one he has to walk through one last time.
