We thought we were ready to leave Nepal — but the India border quickly proved us wrong. Confusing instructions, constant movement, endless noise, and absolute chaos turned a simple border crossing into one of the most overwhelming moments of our journey so far.. We reach Butwal with one last stop in mind: the SkateAid skatepark — a place built not just for skating, but for rebuilding hope after Nepal’s devastating 2015 earthquake. What we find there stays with us far longer than we expected. Saying goodbye to Nepal isn’t easy. The people, the kindness, the quiet strength — all of it leaves a mark. But with only a few kilometres to go, it’s time to cross the border and enter India. What follows is overwhelming, confusing, loud, intense… and impossible to prepare for.
