Removing the cross slide from a Colchester Master 2500

How to remove the cross slide, as you can see I’ve had it off once, but thought it may help someone struggling as I did. First remove the two adjuster screws either end of the gib, I’d already done this, then slide the gib out. Disconnect the nut from the top with the two set screws, then lift the top to disengage it from the nut, with a bit of upward pressure slide it back and the taper in the dovetail, front to back, will release it and you can lift it off. As you can see it’s an unholy mess under this one. I suspect this may not be the way to get it back together, may need to reconnect the nut first and therefore also the screw, I think it can be done this way but once I have experimented I’ll post another video.
