EU Space Governance MOOC 5.3

This video is the third and final video in the fifth module of the MOOC on EU Space Governance, on the economic, industrial and market framework of EU space governance. In it, we discuss the role of SMEs in the EU programmatic vision on Space and EU Space Policy. The video outlines specifics of the participation of SMEs in the European space sector by: • highlighting the advantages of SMEs over large space businesses; • discussing the specifics of participation of SMEs in space consortia; • outlining the EU initiatives supporting the participation of SMEs in the European space, such as funding and incubation/acceleration opportunities; and • discussing the potential use of PPPs in the space-based secure connectivity to promote SMEs.” This MOOC is organised by the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, with funding from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
