1950s Retrofuturistic Jazz Songs | Somewhere, It’s Still 1959 — Vintage American Dream

Somewhere, it’s still 1959. At least, we like to think so. Cars still have fins, jazz still comes from the radio, and nobody has heard of smartphones, notifications, or being available twenty-four hours a day. The future is just around the corner — and, strangely enough, everyone seems rather happy about it. This time, Past Forward Jazz brings together three original songs and a collection of bright, nostalgic scenes from our imaginary 1950s America. Not a history lesson and not quite the past either — just our version of the future people once looked forward to. “Meet me by the corner, Where the old trees lean. I’ll be wearing yesterday’s blue, You’ll know what I mean.” Three little stories about people finding each other, missing each other, remembering, waiting — all set to original retrofuturistic jazz inspired by the sound and optimism of the late 1950s. Maybe that world never existed exactly this way. We’re keeping a little corner of it alive anyway. 🎵 Listen on your favorite streaming platform: Apple Music →   / meet-me-by-the-corner   Amazon Music → https://music.amazon.in/tracks/B0HCP1...
