Correction can be uncomfortable. It can bruise our pride, challenge our decisions, and expose areas where we still need to grow. But the feedback we resist today may be protecting us from repeating the same mistake tomorrow. In Episode 40 of Seven Minutes of Wisdom, we explore how to receive, evaluate, and apply correction without immediately becoming defensive. Through the stories of Naaman and Apollos, we discover why gifted, experienced, and accomplished people must remain teachable. We also introduce a practical framework you can use whenever someone offers you difficult feedback: SIFT before you shift. • Slow your reaction • Invite clarity • Filter it wisely • Turn truth into practice We also examine the important difference between correction and condemnation. Correction identifies something that can change and points toward restoration. Condemnation attacks your identity and uses shame, humiliation, or control. You do not have to accept every criticism. But you should be humble enough to examine it honestly. The correction that makes you uncomfortable today may protect you from repeating the same mistake tomorrow. 📖 Scriptures: Proverbs 12:1, Proverbs 15:31–32, 2 Kings 5:1–14, Acts 18:24–28, and 1 Thessalonians 5:21.
