MOST PILGRIMS MISS THIS IN LEÓN !!! | Our Strange Camino | Episode 20

We walked through León, Spain on our first Camino de Santiago and somehow missed SO MUCH of it. This time, we stayed an extra day—and discovered why León deserves much more than just a quick overnight stop on the Camino Francés. We explore the incredible León Cathedral and its stained glass, discover a strange statue holding a dead bird, visit the Cathedral Museum, find Antoni Gaudí and Casa Botines, and stop at the historic Parador de León / Convent of San Marcos, one of the filming locations from "The Way". We also discover the huge bronze Camino de Santiago medallions outside San Marcos, each representing places along the Camino—from Roncesvalles and Pamplona all the way to Santiago de Compostela. And, of course, we manage to add a few things to our backpacks along the way—because we could! Then we finally leave León and continue walking toward La Virgen del Camino, where we discover one of my favorite modern churches on the entire Camino.
