Dad Collapses Learning Teen’s Fate After Fatal Ride Home

Sophie Ringquist’s father, Scott, took the stand Thursday to recall the night his 17-year-old daughter was found unresponsive beside her boyfriend Cooper Ouellette’s truck in May 2023. Scott testified that Ouellette said Sophie fell out of the truck and wasn’t moving. He and his wife rushed Sophie to Bristol Hospital, where Scott later collapsed to his knees after a doctor delivered devastating news about his daughter. Ouellette is accused of running over Sophie with his truck after a night of drinking and arguing.
