The Brooklyn Bridge, Pt. 2: Building the Bridge

As one of the city's - and the world's - most iconic landmarks, the Brooklyn Bridge has played an important role in the growth of New York City. As part of Brooklyn Historical Society's Brooklyn Bridge Case Study program, we created a series of educational videos that explore life in Brooklyn before the bridge, the bridge's construction, and the various forms of transportation the bridge has supported in its 137-year history. This video is part of a three-part series on the history of the Brooklyn Bridge. Want to use this video in your classroom?
