JD van Deventer Titanium Folder | It Makes You Earn It

This custom folder from JD van Deventer took a while to warm up to me. Full titanium, a hand-polished 154CM blade, and an IKBS pivot. I thought I'd received a knife. The frame is the handle, so there are no scales to hide behind, and the 154CM blade has been polished by hand. The pivot runs on IKBS, the Ikoma Korth Bearing System: loose balls in a raceway with no cage holding them. It can feel beautifully fluid once you learn the detent, but it took me a while to get there, and if you strip it carelessly you'll be hunting for bearings on the floor. This is The Knife Company.
