Madden 27 Seahawks Franchise | Offseason Review — The Arch Manning Era Begins

The biggest move of the Seahawks offseason completely changes the direction of the franchise. Seattle trades Sam Darnold to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for the No. 1 overall pick, ending the Darnold era after one season and giving me the opportunity to select Arch Manning first overall. Manning joins the Seahawks as the newest member of the legendary Manning family, following in the football legacy of his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning. After a 7-10 season exposed major problems on offense, Seattle now has a new quarterback and potentially the centerpiece of the franchise moving forward. The Seahawks also make a major addition at wide receiver, bringing in Davante Adams to join an already talented receiving corps featuring Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. Beyond those headline moves, Seattle re-signs several players and adds additional role players to round out the roster. The biggest change on the field, however, comes from the offensive scheme. After using a Zone Run system during the 2026 season, I switch the offense to a Spread scheme to better match the style of football I want to play in Madden 27 and maximize the strengths of the new-look offense. Outside of the quarterback trade, the Arch Manning selection, the addition of Davante Adams, and the offensive scheme change, the Seahawks offseason is relatively quiet. The roster retains much of its existing core while adding pieces around it, meaning the 2027 season becomes less about completely rebuilding Seattle and more about discovering what this new version of the Seahawks can become. The Darnold chapter is over, Arch Manning is officially the new quarterback, and the next era of Seahawks football is ready to begin.
