We're Not Just Print, We're Office | Meet the 1st Office Team Part 3

1st Office supports businesses across South West England and South Wales with office print, IT support, phones and document management, all under one contract. We're not just print, we're office. In the final part of our Meet the Team series, Kate Warrender, Phil Bennett and Siân Bush show what that really means when something in your office stops working. Phil explains why printing from Macs got more complicated, and why the new wave of ARM laptops from Apple, Microsoft and Dell is another headache for printing (and how the team stays ahead of it). Kate talks about why some clients have been with 1st Office since the very start, and why one contract is such a relief for anyone working in procurement. And a story from Phil's first IT job, looking after 120 hotels from Pitlochry to Falmouth, explains why the team are so comfortable working in the grey area between hardware and software. You'll also hear why the team would rather join a project at the start than halfway through, how bespoke solutions begin with "tell us your frustration", and why anyone in the office will drop toner off on their way home in an emergency. With bases in Bath, Plympton near Plymouth, Barnstaple and Roche in Cornwall, plus a sister company in South Wales, 1st Office has engineers who live in the areas they cover, from Swindon to North Devon and Cornwall. No long drives from a central depot, just local people who turn up. And to finish, the team share the best bits of working at 1st Office, from the Christmas party to the brewery two doors down.
