⚡ In this video, the Alps Electrical Ltd team carries out a solar installation on a new build home — but things didn’t go entirely to plan! After the structural survey came back as a fail, we had to rethink the design and reduce the number of solar panels to keep the system safe, compliant, and fully certified. Despite the setback, we installed a fantastic setup featuring a Tesla Powerwall 2 paired with a SolarEdge inverter system and 12 × 440 W JA Solar double-glass all-black panels, giving a total of 5.28 kW of generation capacity. The result? A beautifully finished, future-proof solar and battery system — safely installed, perfectly balanced, and ready to deliver clean energy for years to come. 💡 Project Highlights: • Structural survey and system redesign for a new-build home • 12 × 440 W JA Solar (double glass, all black) = 5.28 kW total • SolarEdge inverter system for smart optimisation • Tesla Powerwall 2 for battery storage and backup • Full testing, certification, and compliance ✅ About Alps Electrical Ltd: We’re a family-run business based in the North East of England, specialising in solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and renewable-energy installations. 📞 01642 790489 | 🌐 alpselectrical.com 📍 Serving Teesside • Middlesbrough • Stockton • Redcar • Darlington • Durham • Sunderland • Newcastle • Northallerton • and the wider North East. 🔔 Subscribe for more real installations, renewable-energy insights, and behind-the-scenes projects from Alps Electrical Ltd. #SolarInstallation #TeslaPowerwall2 #SolarEdge #SolarPanelsUK #RenewableEnergy #JA Solar #Teesside #SolarInstallersUK #SolarNewBuild #StructuralSurvey #AlpsElectricalLtd #BatteryStorage #SolarPV Octopus offers the very best tariffs for solar and EV chargers.
