Nuremberg Trial Day 199 (1946) Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch Direct Dr. Hans Laternser

On Aug. 8, 1946, Dr. Hans Laternser, counsel for the Defense of the General Staff and High Command, called as his first witness, Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch, Commander-in-Chief of the German Army during the years of 1936-41. He testified concerning the Western Offensive in 1940, Hitler and the Soviet Union, Einsatzkommandos, Waffen SS, and resistance to the Commissar Order.
