I love the allegory of this song… it speaks to someone who doesn’t want someone they love to leave them. And so they use their “clothes”, the emblem of the part of them that they left with the one they love, as a way to reel them back into their life. Moment I heard it I knew I wanted to cover it, and I started getting excited when my brain started linking it with a song from the 2000s that I love 🫣 Did you figure out which song I’m talking about?
